AVT resistors give designers the ability to adjust to specific resistance values while still providing the larger power ratings that are common on fixed wirewound resistors. These adjustable resistors are constructed with steatite ceramic cores, terminated with welded terminals, and wound with the finest alloy resistance wires welded to the terminals.
